LandClearingGuide

How we check contractor listings

A business is listed for a service only when its own website says it offers that service, and every listing links to the page that says so. We list 1,148 land clearing contractors across 72 metros on that basis.

What we check

  • The service itself. We read the company's website and record land clearing, forestry mulching and stump grinding only where the site describes offering them. A business category such as "excavating contractor" is not enough on its own.
  • Location. A company appears on a city page only if it is based within 75 miles of that city, in the same state or a neighboring state for metros that cross a state line.
  • The source. Each listing links to the page on the company's site where it describes the service, so you can confirm it yourself.

What we don't publish

We don't show ratings, badges, years in business or credentials we can't support, and we don't accept payment to appear in the directory. A city page stays out of search results until it has at least eight verified contractors.

Prices

Cost figures in our guides come from named publishers such as Angi, HomeAdvisor and HomeGuide, with the date each figure was published. They are planning estimates, not quotes. Ask contractors for a written quote against the same scope.
